Faith at AIDS 2012
Faith Zone at the Global Village
Unlike other parts of AIDS 2012, the Global Village is open to the general public as well as AIDS 2012 participants and is expected to attract thousands of visitors each day. The Faith Zone will provide an inclusive, innovative and informative space where faith-based visitors can exchange ideas and experiences, and where all visitors to the Global Village can experience the breadth and depth of faith communities’ work in response to HIV. There will be a podium for various events and speakers and comfy sofas for networking and relaxing.
Download the call for proposals here and send your proposal for an event or to display materials to preconference@e-alliance.ch by May 25 2012.
The faith-based response to HIV and AIDS has become more visible and integrated because of the increased engagement and coordination of faith-based representatives over the past four International AIDS Conferences. It is vital that the facilitation of such faith-based participation continues to grow and be built upon in the run-up to and during AIDS 2012. The 19th International AIDS Conference will take place in Washington DC from 22–27 July 2012.
